MEET OUR TEAM

The team at CT Speech and Swallow has undergone extensive training in the evaluation and treatment of various feeding, swallowing, speech, language, and cognitive disorders, working with patients across the lifespan. They are passionate about integrating best practices founded in research into individualized treatment plans to help clients achieve their goals. Areas of specialty certification and competence include: neonatal, pediatric and adult FEES and MBS, LSVT, SOFFI, Gestalt Language Processing, PROMPT and JASPER. Victoria Ceballos Japs received her bachelor's degree in communication disorders from Southern Connecticut State University. While at SCSU, Tori was captain of the women's softball team. She obtained her master's degree in speech language pathology from Sacred Heart University and an advanced certificate in pediatric dysphagia from New York Medical College. She holds licensure in the State of Connecticut and has been practicing professionally for nearly 6 years with experience across a variety of clinical settings including: special education classrooms, private practice, outpatient, multidisciplinary specialty clinics, inpatient rehab and acute care. Tori is a neurodiversity affirming clinician who is passionate about providing holistic, patient and family centered care. She lives in Fairfield County with her husband and their german shepherd, Winnie. Tori enjoys cooking, Orange Theory classes and spending quality time with her family and friends. Paige Girvin has been practicing as a speech language pathologist since 2014. After receiving her bachelor’s degree from Providence College in elementary and special education, she attended Southern Connecticut State University for her master’s degree in speech pathology. Paige found her niche working in the medical setting and developed a special area of interest working with feeding and swallowing disorders. She started her career working with adults and later had the opportunity to receive training working with medically complex infants and pediatric patients, allowing her to put her elementary and special education background to use. Paige is eager to offer her skillset to the outpatient community to help clients achieve a high quality of life. Paige resides on the shoreline with her husband, who is also a fellow Providence College Friar, their three children, and her beloved labradoodle. She enjoys a good cup of coffee, running and taking advantage of all the family activities the shoreline has to offer.
